released 90 years ago, very vintage Arnott’s ‘Fruit Jar Series’, 16 ozs. Biscuit Caddy Tin, c.1930’s – see extra info below

This caddy has a rigid handle to lid and because of its grooved design seals very well to the canister body. The paper-label has been removed from the bottom, but it is more likely to be an Arnott’s tin other than another ‘Ripe Fruit’ Caddy released by other compamies at the time. From our research, the Arnott’s tin DID NOT have ‘gold bubbles’ decoration around the edge of lid and has a different arrangement of ripe fruit than the other design referred to above. There is a little rust on 2 corners of the canister and the lid is a bit scratched
